The Chroma large ceramic pendant light by Hand&Eye is made from slip-cast earthenware, with an added semi-matt glaze to give it a satin texture. The light features a brass suspension hook detail and a textile-covered flex in a very pale nude colour.

The liquorice colour is inky black with a hint of green and blue, created by altering the cobalt content of the glaze. With its soft, modern form and bold colour, it's a perfect statement piece for your home and is available in another two colours. All of these start off being made with a white body of earthenware clay to enable a purer glaze colour.
The different colours of the Chroma pendants have taken inspiration from nature: sand dunes, straw and raven feathers. Hand&Eye worked with a glaze specialist to develop these into the Chroma oyster, mustard and liquorice in a satin glaze, which is soft but retains some reflection. These three colours are designed to complement each other, so they can be used in combination or in monochrome.

The lip of the shade opening has been left unglazed, so the natural earthenware white comes through, revealing the materiality of the shade and adding some contrast to the colour. The inside of the shade is glazed in white.

Please note these ceramics lights are hand-made of natural materials and there may be some slight variation in colour and texture which we think adds to their unique character.
