Cast Iron Casserole Pan by Crane Cookware
Crane cast iron cookware is manufactured using time-honoured techniques and high-quality materials that will improve with age and use. Throughout the production process, stringent quality controls and multiple quality checks are carried out in accordance with the latest testing methods.
The casserole pan is hand cast in France, made from vitreous enamelled cast iron, which is free from cadmium, lead, PFOA's + PTFE's and is also made from up to 30% recycled scrap iron.
Crane cast iron products are finished with a specially formulated matt black enamel inside and out. Originally developed for use in commercial kitchens, the specific properties of this high-quality enamel finish improve the products' resistance to thermal shocks and scratches.
Enamel is made from purely natural materials such as steel, quartz, feldspar, borax, soda ash, clay and potash, making the products 100% recyclable. Enamelled cast iron is long lasting, doesn't produce environmental toxins and its excellent heat conduction properties make it ideal for cookware. The pans will gradually “burn in” as they are used & will take on a brownish patina.
Cast iron is oven safe and works on all hobs, with Crane cookware having the added benefit of also working on induction hobs.
As a sign of the quality of Crane cookware, their products come with a 10-year warranty.
